It's the weekend so that means time to update this site. Spent a couple of hours uploading the rest of One Eye On The Darkness as it currently stands, and adding a couple of new pages, including links to social media, and some appropriately-atmospheric incidental music discovered on Youtube. Hopefully this site will make OEOTD easier to access by readers, as well as providing a fitting platform for the experience. More soon!
One Eye On The Darkness is my most immersive project yet, personally speaking. It has been a work that has captured my imagination like no other, and the development of the story and the direction in which the characters are leading it is fascinating to observe. Observe because as all writers know, characters always seem to take on a life of their own as a book unfolds so that it is almost as if they are the narrators of the prose that takes shape.
Over the next few days I shall upload more chapters of One Eye On The Darkness, thereafter adding more as the novel progresses. Do feel free to comment. All feedback, positive and negative is appreciated. It seems like an age since I was last at the word processor exercising my creative writing muscle! Recent months have been crowded with the relocation of my wife and I from Berlin to Stoke, and now at last there is a lull, I can devote some time to the computer. The last few days I've developed an itch to get back to writing while waiting for a 'real' job (and there have been applications a-plenty!) to present itself. Ifg I get lucky and do a 'Dan Brown' then I can happily support wife and baby Latham with the fruits of my 'hobby'. If not, then a hobby it shall remain. Why do I write? Simply because I can't not write!
